LAB Studios is a film and television studio based in Jamaica and the entertainment division of The LAB, a publicly listed creative company with nearly two decades of experience in advertising, media, and production.

Kimala Bennett is an award-winning Jamaican entrepreneur and creative industry leader who has spent nearly two decades building businesses at the intersection of creativity and commerce. Starting with $20,000 JMD and a laptop, she co-founded The LAB and led its evolution into the first advertising agency and production company listed on the Jamaica Stock Exchange. Today, she is leading The LAB’s expansion into entertainment as executive producer across LAB Studios’ slate of original films and series. Her approach combines storytelling with audience insight, marketing expertise, and commercial discipline to build entertainment IP with global potential. She is an Anthony N. Sabga Caribbean Awards for Excellence Laureate in Entrepreneurship, YPO Jamaica and Caribbean Chapter chair, and the author of Starting A Business in Jamaica. Her current focus is building LAB Studios into a globally relevant entertainment business.
